 Delicious, but deadly. Consume at your own risk. December 27, 2008

Real licorice is a deadly toxin, and this tea can and will cause heart palpitations & attacks once enough accumulates in your system. Licorice-flavored candy, however, is made with anise, which tastes & smells like licorice, but is non-toxic.
I drank two cups of this tea daily for several months, and came very close to death. Doctors could not figure out what was wrong with me. I went from completely active & healthy to being unable to get up from a chair without chest pain & shaking limbs. Eventually, I researched everything in my diet, and found that licorice is highly poisonous, and stopped the tea immediately. I gradually regained my health over the course of a year, but there has been long-term damage, unfortunately.
That said, the flavor is amazing, so I give it two stars. There should be a toxicity warning on the box.

This tea is simply amazing! It definitely has a very exotic flavor and has a very very good taste and especially the after taste is the best! When you drink the tea, you can feel the sensations of the licorice and mint and it taste incredible! A must drink!

this is a great tea. if you are familiar w/ the tea that Aveda used to make, you will be pleasantly surprised at this VERY similar and cheap product. needs no sweetner (and i am a tea w/ sugar person) and is caffeine free tea too. it is D-LISH!

Yogi Tea has introduced a winner in Egyptian Licorice Mint. It's the perfect after dinner herbal tea. It doesn't have a strong licorice or mint flavor, but instead a delightful synthesis. I feel like it's easy on my tummy and doesn't need food to complement it. What more could you ask for?

Another delightful tea from Yogi Tea with rich sweet flavor. Use two bags and enjoy a great dessert without sugar for the low carb lifestyle.
