Green tea contains the highest levels naturally-occurring compounds called polyphenols that have powerful antioxidant properties. these polyphenols may help prevent certain types of cancers, lower the risk of heart disease and help ward off colds and flu. There is even evidence that when used as an ingredient in sunblock lotions, green tea may inhibit some types of skin cancers. When steeping tea leaves some of these beneficial compounds are extracted from the leaf, but you can never extract 100%. However, with Matcha, you get 100% of these beneficial compounds, as you are actually consuming the whole powdered leaf.

This is a pre sweetened Japanese Matcha Green tea powder. The blend is delicate with rich fresh fragrance of green tea. The granule powder is very easy to dissolved in the water. It is a great product for people on the run to get a delicious healthy drink to replace the soda.
The package looks very nice. But you do need to store the product in an air tight container to keep the freshness. It is best to store in the freezer or refrigerator.
Green Tea contains antioxidants such as flavonoid, EGCG, catechins (more powerful than vitamins C and E in halting oxidative damage). It is found that green tean is an effective remedy for rheumatoid arthritis, cardiovascular disease (block the oxidation of LDL (bad) cholesterol, increase HDL (good) cholesterol and improve artery function), and certain immune deficiencies. Furthermore, the fat-burning abilities of green tea make it an excellent weight loss aid.
I found a lot of usage of this tea. But most often, I prepare it to a iced tea and bring some to out door. For picnic, add it to iced water directly for its freshness. Great for summer!

I am currently a heavy tea drinker and have really been promoting it's benefits and the effect that it has had on me to my family and friends. This is even more so when it comes to matcha powder. I use it for everything from pudding to cookies and all kinds of drink recipes so I feel like I am a good source of info on green tea products. This one is excellent for baking and other recipes of that sort, but as a drink it is a little too sweet. This product comes in little pellets of matcha which is ok but it has sugar added so it's not quite as strong for drinking alone. Overall the product is good though and I ended up mixing it with another product on Amazon that was just matcha powder to make it the right strength.

Ume-En is one of the best brands of green tea powder I have ever tasted. This tea has a light, delicate flavor, with just a touch of sweetness, which serves to make drinking this beverage a delightful, relaxing and rejuvenating experience. With this drink, "tea time" is going to take on a whole new meaning. I would definitely recommend this product.
