Cheap, yummy, healthy December 13, 2008

I have Parkinson's Disease (though I'm not "all shook up" about it), and there is preliminary research indicating that the anti-oxident in green, red, and white tea MAY slow the progression significantly. So, I decided to switch beverages from soft drinks to tea. Then, I saw that white tea was the most potent, and further, that adding a little lemon juice tripled the absorption of the active, magic stuff. Wow! This stuff tastes great, costs less than half of what even bargain soft drinks cost in big bottles, and it seems healthy. I put a gallon of hot water in the microwave for 8 min., then add one of these whopping tea bags, letting it soak overnight. I add a good glug to a glug and a half of lemon juice, 16 packets of artificial sweetner, a little sweetened lemonaide mix, and a little juice sometimes, and I have a gallon of tasty, low calorie healthy stuff to drink from the fridge. What a deal!
