If you like medicine, then buy it. December 16, 2008 B. Ross (Albuquerque, NM) I really rate this item at less than zero, but I was forced to give it one star. It had a medicinal taste, and made me gag. The company makes you buy 6 jars--it is a rip off.
Great for peanut butter lovers on a diet June 20, 2007 Samantha L. Maynard (Indianapolis, IN United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I first found this peanut butter in the regular (non-low-sodium) version in my local gourmet grocery (inconveniently located right next to my gym). The consistency is that of marshmallow cream, perhaps a bit thicker. Once your mouth gets used to the texture (no time at all!) you'll be eating it right out of the jar. It actually tastes great, is refrigerated after opening and still spreads with no muss or fuss. I'm on a long-term diet and this is one sweet I can eat in moderation without feeling any guilt!
A God Send. June 17, 2007 Aegis Nod (Where I hang my hat.) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I LOVE Peanut Butter and I eat it right out of the jar sometimes! But you know, regular peanut butter, while tasty and oh-so-delightful, can be a guilt trip waiting to happen after a few spoonfulls. Not only the guilt, but the heaviness of the oils and fat can really weigh you down. What I love about this peanut butter is that it's not only vegetarian friendly but it's organic and low sodium and sugar, the best of both worlds. And no guilt. It's so good, it's ok to eat it right out of the jar!
Get This: 2 Tbsp=2.5 g Fat, 100 Cal. Fat from Cal=20 but no Sat Fat or Cholestral! Carbs=14 g. Sugars=2 g. Protien=4 g. Ingredients: Peanuts (as de-fatted peanut flour and natural peanut butter), tapioca syrup, pure water, dehydrated cane juice, rice syrup, vegetable glycerin, soy flour, salt, tapioca starch, natural flavors, paprika & annatto, calcium carbonate, lecithin, vitamins e & c (antioxidants).
The one downside is that it's hard to find and very epensive (if you do, it's about the same you'd pay if you ordered it because of the S & H). Also, look for its alter-ego: Peanut Wonder. Same exact thing, just a different look and name.
Worth it? Oh, yeah...
